off the beaten path: top 10 places to visit to make your Utah trip unique

Growing up in Utah has given me the best opportunities for unique trip experiences that are only a couple hours from home. In my humble Utahn opinion, these are the top places to visit that will make your trip unique.

Obviously visiting the National Parks is the biggest drive to come to Utah, but sometimes you want to get away from the crowds. At number –, we have Cedar Breaks National Monument.

10. Cedar Breaks National Monument

I grew up 45 minutes away from Cedar Breaks and I never went until college. That was a mistake. It’s so beautiful and a great way to see the legendary Bryce Canyon style hoodoos. Cedar Breaks is often called a mini-Bryce Canyon, and is a great option if you don’t want to spend the money to get into Bryce but see the same scenery. Plus, there’s a fraction of the people there. It’s definitely not enough for a day trip, but my friends and I took a route from there to Zion and it was perfect.

9. Mystic Hot Springs

8. Gandy Warm Springs

7. Minnetonka Cave

6. Kanab

5. Calf Creek Falls

4. Kanarraville Falls

3. Snow Canyon State Park / Tuacahn
